Ellie

Please pardon my awful title.

Completed in mid to late November.

Playing with watercolor on normal drawing paper. The indigo color of her dress looks more like black to me.. but still it turns out nice. I guess I applied too much iridescent medium on the drawing. (I can't help it. ) XP Too bad the shimmery effects is not showing.

Medium: Watercolor, poster color, soft pastel, iridescent medium ,and pencil.
Paper: Drawing paper.

Here is another angle of the drawing that show the shimmery effects.

OC Redraw

Completed in mid August.

Another redraw pic.

I decided change her pose and instead of a face portrait I draw a full body version. XD
I tried scanning this piece but the orange background was not show at all, so have to snap it with handphone (cellphone) then ps edit.
Hope u all like it.

Medium: Poster colors, watercolor, color pencils and pencil.
Paper: Fabriano watercolor paper 140Ibs coldpress.

I'm not really sure if I have post this on my blog before or not.. Oh well.. Below is my old drawing, drawn in 1997. Back then I was so upset after getting back my drawing from the shop.. they ruin my drawing after the lamination. There's a huge crease around her eyes and worst it's not properly sealed… mold got in thus creating many brown patches around her legs and arms..

Yup my old drawing..

Serenity

Completed in early to mid July.

I was not satisfied with the previous drawing of ( Meredith ) color, so came up with another drawing. This time I don't wanna add purple in it. haha.
I think ps editing, trying to get the exact color of the original colors to showup is the hardest of all because the original color is much softer.
Enjoy~!

Medium: Poster colors, watercolor, color pencils and soft pastel.
Paper: Drawing paper.

Here's the silver effect using sliver poster color. I love it.

Meredith

Pretty much lack of good idea for title. (sux at naming titles..)

Completed in early July.

Although the outcome of the drawing is not as pretty as I expect.. nevertheless I try my best.
Having fun mixing silver and purple poster color together give the background some shiny metallic effect but too bad effects is not shown here.

Medium: Poster colors, watercolor, color pencils and micron pen.
Paper: Fabriano watercolor paper 140Ibs coldpress.

Here is the shiny metallic effect of the background.

P.I.N.K

Can't think of a suitable title for this..

Playing/testing with florescent pink poster color then mix with silver for the flower petals to have some shiny metallic effect. But then, when I finish the coloring, I realize it's too overpower with florescent pink. End up having to tone it down. XD

Medium: Poster colors, color pencils and micron pen.
Paper: drawing paper.

Errr... I guess the shiny metallic effect is not showing very well huh.. (-_-;)

30052018 oc redraw

Completed in late May.

Posting another long overdue drawings.. ^-^;
Art block.. so try redrawing old drawing for fun. After 2 decades.. Here is the old pic of it.
Here

I tried to edit the drawing's color as close to the original, but still not close to 100%. I tried my best already. XD So here it is.

Medium: Poster colors, watercolor, color pencils, soft pastels and micron pen.
Paper: A4 Drawing paper..

Thought of posting it on the first day of CNY.. but busy.. so wait until now... ^-^;

Tried to redraw her hands bigger but still looks small.. Also because run out of black color pencil so went over with black color poster color.. (well,I ruin her hair...)

20141210

Forgotten another piece.. yup traditional drawing.

Medium: 005,01 micron pen, Sakura pentel watercolor, faber castell color pencils and poster color (white speckles).

Completed in December.

(*if the drawing appears too bright just try to dim the monitor to view.)

Pardon me, I notice the left side edge have a line.. (it's the transparent sheet. I didn't notice the sheet was not properly adjust during scanning..)
Love the background color very much. I used a nail clipper file to grate the color pencils instead of craft knife because I find the powder is much finer and easier to blend into the paper. Then use finger to smudge the color power onto the paper. Viola~! Lovely effect.

Here is a snapshot of the drawing.. (have to adjust the color try to match the original color.)

Chibi Tenshi 2013

Finally another traditional piece of drawing in 2013..
Completed in mid July.

Trying out new sketchbook that has been dumped aside for so long.. Thought of just sketching some simple stuffs..

Well, in the end I decided to color it with watercolor and color-pencils
I know it's not watercolor paper but I just wanna color.

Geezz, I have no patient to wait for the paper to dry.. (perhaps paper too light )and so end up poking several holes on the drawing.. (T-T) lucky it's not quite visible here..

Regular sketch pad 9x12 (100 gm..)
Medium: 0.5 2B pencil, Sakura pentel watercolor, faber castell color pencils and poster color (white speckles).

Completed.

The sketch.. whoops didn't notice there is a drop of water on the surface.

Scanned without transparent sheet..

Photoshot of the drawing.. (didn't tape the drawing while painting because I don't have the tape.. so the final piece came out looking so wrinkled..)

Close up shot.

Rumi 2012

Traditional art. Completed in late Nov 2012.

Second time using watercolor paper!! Again, almost throw this into trashcan because of the horrible colors it produce when I mix with wrong color while coloring the flowers.. (I throw in some ultramarine onto the drawing and dang. It became dirty purplish muddy color.. ewwww..)
However I told myself: cannot throw!! Expensive paper!! =D Cannot waste it.. Must complete it no matter how awful the result is.. And so with heavy disappointment I drag myself to finish it..
I’m glad, I did not throw it away.. Even though it’s not what it’s suppose to be anymore.

Fabriano watercolor paper 140Ibs 24x32cm cut into A4 size.

Medium: 0.5 2B pencil, Sakura pentel watercolor, faber castell color pencils and poster color (white speckles).

Again scanner took some colors off, have to adjust the colors through ps..

Heres the original sketch.

Lineart. (pencil.)

Almost complete. Because of the horrible colors, I have to re-line the lineart with color pencils over again..

Done!

Close-up of the flowers.

OC: Lenon n Rainy

Forget to upload this..

Completed in early August.

The coloring was ok until I messed up the background with wrong color.

I was following a color scheme that I made for this drawing.. Digital colored version.. The CG background is pretty, however I forget it's not CG again!! Traditional is different..)

In the end, I have to cover it with thick layers of white poster color almost the whole background..

Totally ruin the whole background.. Nothing much to say.. T.T Don't even want to edit anything..

Scanned with transparent sheet. What the heck is Lenni doing hmmm... up to something huh.. lol

Scanned without transparent sheet.

The sketch..

A5 Drawing paper.

Medium: uni-ball Signo px 0.28, uni-ball Signo Gold, pentel watercolor, faber castell color pencils, and poster color (white speckles).
